Oregon Artificial Turf is the synthetic grass arm of Western Paver Design, a Portland-area hardscape contractor working across the metro since 2016. Turf grew out of that work: after years of building patios, driveways, and retaining walls, we kept being asked to fix the muddy, mossy, half-dead lawn sitting next to the hardscape we'd just finished.
That background is the whole advantage. A turf lawn is a drainage and base-building problem wearing a green surface, and it is the same excavation, compaction, and grading work that makes a paver patio last. Almost every failed turf lawn we get called out to inspect failed underneath, not on top.
We install artificial grass lawns, pet turf and dog runs, backyard putting greens, playground surfacing, and commercial and HOA turf, using commercial-grade turf manufactured in Georgia. Every project is built for our region's reality, forty inches of rain a year, clay soils that barely percolate, and a tree canopy that puts most Portland yards in shade. We handle sod removal, excavation, drainage, base, and installation in-house, and back it with a 5-year workmanship warranty.

Drainage Comes First
We design where the water goes before we choose a turf. Open-graded rock compacted in lifts, French drains and piped outlets where the clay won't accept water, and a finished grade that falls deliberately toward it.
